Language Courses
This section will provide a glimpse into my coursework while in Clemson. Though only a few courses will be listed, there will be descriptions of the courses, expectations from each course, and the benefits to my education from the course.
Also Included will be two examples of work that is related to the Spanish language to show my proficiency.
Below are descriptions of four of the Spanish classes that I have completed or will complete while at Clemson.
SPAN 3050
Name: Intermediate Spanish Conversion and Composition I
Practice in spoken Spanish with emphasis on vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, and comprehension. Includes written work to increase accuracy and assignments in the language laboratory
SPAN 3150
Name: Spanish for Health Professionals
Medical concepts and terminology in Spanish; designed for students who plan to work in professions related to public health care
SPAN 4090
Name: Comprehensive Writing in Spanish
Study of stylistics in addition to grammar review; writing paragraphs, short compositions, and creative papers in Spanish on both fiction and non-fiction topics
SPAN 3020
Name: Intermediate Spanish Grammar and Composition
Intensive review of Spanish structure, verbs, idioms, and vocabulary with an introduction to syntax and stylistics through controlled and free composition
Examples of My Work
Here are a couple of examples of work I have completed and submitted in my Spanish Courses.
La Ilustración
This assignment, written fully in Spanish by me and my group members, was to show our understanding of the impacts of the Enlightenment ment in Spain.
La Ilustración y el Movimiento Reformista
This presentation, fully in spanish, was the first of a few presentations in this class. This presentation was specifically regarding the Enlightenment and the Reformist Movement in Spain.
